Designing in Entanglement - Inspire Talks #30

  • 2 min read

“Inspire Talks” is a talk event series that introduces cutting-edge research and design practices.

For its 30th edition, DLX Design Lab Co-Director Federico Trucchia will be joined by Lukas Franciszkiewicz, Head of the Industrial Design graduate program at the Zurich University of the Arts, for a session titled “Designing in Entanglement.”

Humans, plants and animals, materials, technologies, and institutions - we exist in constant entanglement with one another. Rather than standing outside these systems as problem-solvers, what does it mean to design from within them?

Beginning with this provocation, the session will explore how design can be practiced as a situated, relational act within shared ecosystems of human and non-human actors. The event will take the form of an open conversation between the speakers.
